Choosing between our LiFePO4 battery products
Which line fits depends on duty cycle rather than capacity alone. Equipment that cycles several times a day — AGVs, floor scrubbers, medical carts — needs cells rated for high continuous discharge and 3,000+ cycles, which is where our prismatic LiFePO4 and 32700 packs sit. Devices that draw low current over long runtimes, such as solar street lighting or monitoring equipment, are better served by 18650 or 21700 cylindrical packs at lower cost per watt-hour.
Residential storage works on different constraints. Here the questions are usable capacity after depth-of-discharge limits, whether the system needs to expand later, and whether it must run off-grid without a utility reference. Our stackable systems let a customer start at 5kWh and add modules as their solar array grows, rather than replacing the whole unit.
All LiFePO4 battery products we ship are built to the safety requirements of IEC 62619 for industrial lithium cells, and pass UN38.3 transport testing before leaving the factory. Send us the application, duty cycle and operating temperature range, and we will specify the pack rather than sell you a catalog number.
